        Advances in obstetrics and neonatology over the last 20 years have resulted in decreased mortality and morbidity of VLBWI, however with increased rates of neurological and developmental impairments. The impact of pre,- peri,- neonatal and social risk factors to the overall outcome remains controversial. The purpose of our study was to evaluate risk factors for poor neurodevelopmental outcome at age 1 year.
